The Northern Ireland Piping and Drumming School believes in Equality of Opportunity and is concerned with maintaining good practice in all aspects of Child Protection.
Students at the school will develop an understanding of music, music theory and history and will enhance their music performance individually and collectively. They will enrich their appreciation of the importance of music culturally and personally and will develop a confidence to share this appreciation with others.
Students will be encouraged to deepen their pride in their choice of music but also to develop a respect for the music of others and to seek to learn and understand all types of music with which they are unfamiliar.
The school will promote accreditation in the field of pipe music and its associated activities from community-based education through to tertiary level and will seek to encourage the highest standard of qualified teaching.
